WanderingWords Volume 1 explores more than 30 German-influenced words and expressions that appear in Buffalo’s everyday language. The book blends personal stories, local history, and cultural insights to show how German heritage shaped the way Buffalonians speak today.

Not at all. While the book highlights Buffalo and Western New York, the stories, language origins, and cultural insights appeal to anyone interested in German-American heritage, language history, or regional dialects.

At this time, we don’t offer free copies, but we do provide special educator discounts for classroom use. If you’re a teacher or instructor, feel free to contact us to discuss bulk pricing or resource options. We do have a standard discount of 10% with the discount code School10.

We currently do not ship directly outside of the U.S. However, international readers can still purchase WanderingWords through Amazon, which ships to many countries worldwide.

If your book arrives damaged, don’t worry! We will either issue a full refund or ship a replacement. To help us process your request quickly, please send a photo of the damage along with your order number to ulrike.laubner@gmail.com
